2008 Progress

OUR PROGRESS DRIVES YOUR SUCCESS!

2008 has already proven to be a fruitful year at the Greater South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce.  As a result of our community and economic development efforts, we are working hard to assist entrepreneurs through the Black River Area Center for Entrepreneurs (BRACE).

We are continuing with successful programming such as our annual Summit, After Business Hours events and our monthly Business Ladies Coffee Club meetings.  We have initiated new programming to include the Entrepreneurs Club (E-Club) and a Business-to-Business Forum (B2B Forum), and look forward to identifying new programming opportunities to advance our members.

We are wrapping up our participation in Michigan State University's Creating Entrepreneurial Communities Pilot Program and have identified other pilot programs that are cutting edge and aligned with our mission to support economic growth and opportunities for success in the greater South Haven area.

In 2008 we will continue to build on our membership and provide opportunities for members to be engaged and involved.  Due to the expertise and commitment of our volunteers, a diverse and active group representing near 400 businesses with an interest in the area, the Greater South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce will again be a major voice for the region.  We will work collaboratively with organizations and develop meaningful relationships with other communities to the benefit of our members.

Our Board of Directors has established these and other strategic initiatives for 2008 with the purpose of ensuring that the Greater South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce provides a value added service to its members and is a driving force in facilitating business success.
