  • The South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce Welcomes
Senior Services of Van Buren County

The South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated the dedication of the impressive new home of Senior Services of Van Buren County.  To mark this special occasion, a dedication ceremony, attended by over 465 guests, was held with comments shared by dignitaries, board members, and staff.  Executive Director, Diane Rigozzi shared the honors of cutting the ribbon with Senior Services Board Chair, Clare Olney.

The overall theme of the dedication was focused on the sincere gratitude the board and staff have for those who have made this amazing facility a reality.  From the generous contributions of the Murk Family, to those who have shared financial resources in any amount, and to the many caring volunteers, this could not happen without such support.  Executive Director, Diane Rigozzi shares “This flagship senior center will become a rare jewel in Van Buren County and the whole region, improving all citizens’ quality of life.  If we come together as a community, we can help ensure that independence, well-being, and dignity defines aging in Van Buren County today and in the generations to come.”

Senior Services of Van Buren County provides a wide array of educational programs, recreational activities such as walking, pickleball, yoga, dance, drumming classes, and more.  There are also movies, holiday and birthday celebrations, trips, card playing, Reader’s Theater, and let’s not forget meals served in a beautiful dining area.
