The South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce Welcomes New Member

South Haven, MI – June 22, 2026- The South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce was pleased to welcome Overisel Lumber as its newest member with a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the company's long history of serving Southwest Michigan.

Founded in 1925 in Overisel, Michigan, Overisel Lumber has spent more than a century providing quality building materials and exceptional customer service. The company has remained family owned and operated throughout its history, growing from a single lumber yard into a trusted supplier with locations across the region.

The South Haven location opened in 1974, reflecting the company's long-standing commitment to the community. Today, Overisel Lumber continues to serve homeowners, contractors, and builders with a knowledgeable team and a wide selection of lumber, building materials, windows, doors, decking, hardware, and other products for projects of every size.

Over the years, the company has expanded its footprint while remaining true to its family values. Leadership has been passed through generations of the Slenk family, and today Greg, Jason, and Lee Slenk continue that tradition. In 2025, Overisel Lumber further expanded its reach with the acquisition of Sethco Lumber in Muskegon, strengthening its presence throughout West Michigan.
