DESCRIPTION:On August 5th at 7:30pm\, clarinetist and South Haven native Andrea Cheeseman will present a concert at the First United Methodist Church in South Haven\, MI. She will perform pieces from her CD released in 2019 of music for clarinet and electronics. Cheeseman\, a former college music professor\, recently returned to southwest Michigan and has extensive experience teaching in students of all levels. She is a sought-after performer of electroacoustic music and has been the featured performer at prestigious festivals such as Electronic Music Midwest (Chicago\, IL)\, Third Practice (Richmond\, VA) and the Electroacoustic Barn Dance (Jacksonville\, FL). After touring extensively throughout the nation to promote her debut album\, she is excited to share music to old and new friends in the community. The musical styles of the program are diverse\, but all showcase the clarinet's unique ability to blend and contrast to the colors and textures of the electronic soundscapes.
