DESCRIPTION:The Michigan Department of Natural Resources will host a public meeting Tuesday\, Feb 24\, regarding the newly acquired River Woods property\, which is located along the Black River on Blue Star Highway\, one-half mile north of the new Meijer store in South Haven Township. The meeting will run 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the South Haven Township Hall\, 09761 Blue Star Memorial Highway\, in South Haven.\n\n\n\nThe meeting is intended to seek input from area stakeholders and gather local planning criteria that will aid in the development of an official DNR concept plan for the property. The public is welcome to attend and ask questions about the property.\n\n\n\nAt the meeting\, DNR Parks and Recreation Division staff will give an informative presentation about the division's planning process. Interested stakeholders also will have the opportunity to share ideas about how this site could appropriately be used in the South Haven area.\n\n\n\nFor more information about the open house\, contact Joe Strach at 517-641-4903 x 227 or strachj@michigan.gov.
