DESCRIPTION:Heroes don't always have capes! Professor Fred Kauffman invites students to this multi-session introduction to the Heroes and Heroines of modern day Biomedical Science. Each week\, Kauffman will explore the lives and works of two individuals who have improved the health and welfare of people around the world. These unsung heroes may not appear in comic books\, but their work has set the foundation for current discoveries and progress in modern science and medicine.\n\n\n\nThe class runs for five sessions\, April 16\, 23\, 30 and May 7 & 14. Attendance at all five is not required.
