ALL of the wooden blocks from MANY\n\ncommunity Block Parties will be assembled in the end to form three big block\n\nsculptures\, one at South Haven Memorial Library\, one at the The Mitten\n\nchildren's museum\, and one at the South Haven Center for the Arts.\n\nThese organizations are the direct collaborators in a project called Create and\n\nConnect. This project has been made possible through a Community Partners\n\ngrant from a partnership between the Michigan Arts and Culture Council and\n\nArts Midwest. The grant asks communities to use arts and cultural projects to\n\nfoster partnerships and to tackle problems important to the community. We\n\nhave chosen to focus on community healing after two years of pandemic stress\n\nand isolation\, as well as from trauma. We are exploring storytelling\, art\, and\n\nplay as tools for mental health and well-being. Our hope is to include as many\n\nmembers of our community as possible.\n\nWe invite you to join us!
