DESCRIPTION:In honor of Women's History Month\, the Historical Association of South Haven is pleased to welcome back Michigan State Capitol Director of Education and History\, Valerie Marvin\, for a presentation entitled\, "Saving Michigan's Past:  Women & Historic Preservation".\n\nFor more than 150 years\, Michigan women have proudly preserved state and local history in libraries\, museums\, community centers\, clubs and public buildings.  They've suffered horrific defeats   like the loss of the old Grand Rapids City Hall   and won magnificent victories\, including the preservation of Michigan's Capitol.  \n\nJoin us on Tuesday\, March 10 at 7:00P to learn about their work\, legacies\, and the tools they've left behind for us.\n\nThis presentation will take place at our Hartman School headquarters   355 Hubbard St. - and is free and open to the public.
