SUMMARY:Saving the Great Lakes: Water Quality Issues
DESCRIPTION:The South Haven Speakers Series\, with the theme "Issues\, Innovations and Ideas Shaping our Lives"\, was launched in 2015 for the purpose of informing citizens by stimulating thought on significant issues of the day through presentations by non-partisan experts not otherwise available to South Haven. The 2016 series will feature five presentations beginning in April and continuing through October. \n\n\n\nThe Series is made possible through grants from the South Haven Community Foundation\, Meijer\, and Carole & Don Hodgman. Refreshments are served after the presentation.\n\n\n\nThe first presentation on Thursday\, April 14\, will be "Saving the Great Lakes: Water Quality Issues" by Cameron Davis Sr\, senior advisor to the US Environmental Protection Agency Administrator with a focus on the Great Lakes Restoration Project\, and Robert Tolpa\, a resident of South Haven who had a 36-year career with the EPA\, including that as senior planner for the agency's national enforcement program.
