Responsible for planning, organizing and directing the activities of the South Haven Area Water Sewer Authority and the DPW consisting of the following functions: engineering, wastewater treatment, streets, water distribution, sewage collection, equipment maintenance, motor pool, building maintenance, water filtration, electrical distribution, beach safety and cemeteries and parks. Ensures that the public receives safe and desirable use of the City infrastructure and basic services. Responsible for the City’s facilities, DPW annual budget and the Five-Year Capital Improvement Plan. Serves as staff liaison to the Board of Public Utilities. Assists in department’s labor contract negotiations and policies.
 
Bachelor’s or work history equivalent to bachelors. Master’s, Professional Engineer license, or coursework equivalent to master’s preferred. 5 or more years of progressively more responsible experience in PW management or closely related sector. Valid MI Driver’s License 8/23/2023 Until Filled
