• Senior Maintenance Technician

    Vibracoustic has an opening for a Senior Maintenance Technician at our Regional Corporate Office and Technical Center in South Haven, MI.
    The primary responsibility of the Senior Maintenance Technician is to provide maintenance support for all prototype activities as well as facility maintenance at Vibracoustic.
    Senior Maintenance Technician Tasks

    • Perform periodic preventative maintenance schedules on machinery, building and grounds of the facility.
    • Complete required maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery in the building.
    • Utilize know skillset to determine what tasks and or maintenance items should be outsourced and what should be done internally.
    • Complete quoting and recommend suppliers for any work that will be completed by outside contractors.
    • Supervise and ensure that outside contractors have the resources and the materials to complete their tasks efficiently.
    • Conduct electrical and water usage and loading tests to ensure the systems within the building are properly sized.
    • Utilize and update online or visual board to show the tasks that are scheduled to be worked on, status, and completion date.
    • Conduct training for the operators within the labs to assist in the preventative maintenance in those areas.
    • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
    • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
    • Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs of the production/test equipment.
    • Perform a variety of plumbing, maintenance and carpentry functions.
    • Conduct safety walk throughs to ensure the health and safety of the facility workers.
    • Comply with safety regulations and maintain an orderly work environment.
    • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
    • Utilize organizational methods to track and organize activities.
    • General housekeeping as directed by the manager.
    • Be willing to work weekends as needed in order to fully support facility needs.
    • Lead any additional Maintenance Technicians that may be hired.
    • Other duties as needed.
     Senior Maintenance Technician Profile:
    • High school diploma as well as completion of Craft Apprenticeship or have an Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Maintenance.
    • Eight+ years maintenance experience with strong electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with some hydraulic, HVAC, and PLC experience preferred.
    • Good understanding of plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, hydraulic and electrical maintenance.
    Candidates for positions with Vibracoustic must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
