    Full Job Description

    We are looking for a trustworthy, hardworking individual to assist in the general operations of our new luxury campground in South Haven. Our assistant manager will oversee housekeeping, manage part-time summer employees, and work directly with the owners to provide guests with an extraordinary experience.

    Each day at Off Map will be different, so we are seeking someone is flexible, a problem-solver, and open to new experiences each day. While the day-to-day may vary, here are some of the things our Assistant Manager will do:

    • Work directly with housekeeping to ensure that facilities are clean, rooms are ready for guests, and the property is looking its best.
    • Assist guests as they arrive, giving them an overview of the property and showing them to their tents.
    • Provide guests with concierge-like services during their stay, including recommending restaurants, assisting with booking excursions, and more.
    • Manage daily breakfast service, ensuring that guests have coffee and breakfast items available to start the day.
    • Coordinate and facilitate on-site special events, including music around the campfire, corporate outings, and weddings.
    • Answer phone calls and emails from prospective guests, answering any questions they may have about Off Map and glamping.

    Off Map is open seasonally, from May 1 - Oct 15 (note that 2021 opening day will likely be closer to June 1). We expect our assistant manager to be available for ~40hrs per week during this time period, and available for work over some weekends, evenings, and holidays.

    With 2021 being our first season, an owner will be on-site at most times. There will be times, however, where the Assistant Manager is in charge of the site. Furthermore, we plan to hire a General Manager to oversee all operations for the 2022 season. This Assistant Manager role could be a great foot in the door for that role.
