Kalamazoo Candle Company (KCC) is in search of an analytic and creative Website Development
Specialist (WDS) to join our growing marketing team. The WDS acts as the lead for the development
of cohesive digital experiences and optimizer for the KCC website. By developing impactful
strategies for web development, the WDS will increase positive customer experience, attract new
customers, and increase online revenue.
The person holding this position is motivated by researching and analyzing modern trends, blends
analytical thought into creative solutions, and enjoys working collaboratively across departments.

This full-time position will work from our Kalamazoo, MI locations and is eligible to work from
home as needed. Pay for this position will be $60,000 – 74,000 per year dependent on proven
skills. Eligible for company benefits:

Duties & Responsibilities include:
• Build, design, and maintain all websites and applications
• Integrate websites (Shopify Plus) with backend services and databases such as SAP,
ShipStation, Klaviyo, and Shopify POS
• Work collaboratively with content and design team to build effective SEO web content
• Implement cohesive and effective UI, cross-browsing compatibility, and general web
functions and standards
• Consistently create well-designed and tested code using best practices
• Create websites and user interfaces using standard HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and/or Liquid
• Create and maintain software documentation and Standard Operating Procedures
• Work collaboratively with IT department on integrations and other needs
• Project manage all updates to current web infrastructure coordinating with staff as needed
• Assist in the design of digital marketing templates to ensure uniform look and functionality
• Act as backup for marketing and IT functions
