United Way of Southwest Michigan is looking for a Director of Be Healthy Berrien. This full-time position will facilitate the overall operation of Be Healthy Berrien, which is a collective impact initiative aimed at reducing obesity in Berrien County. The Director will lead the creation and implementation of a strategic plan to improve access to physical activity and healthy foods in worksites, schools, and communities using evidence-informed strategies and data-driven decision making.
The best candidate will have the ability to: manage multiple projects with a high degree of organization and time management; work as a self-directed individual yet also be a team player; think strategically; problem solve; and communicate effectively.
Candidates should have experience in or strong knowledge of public health, strategic planning, and group facilitation. Additional desired experience includes program development and evaluation, project management, and data collection.
A bachelor’s degree in a related field of study is required, with preference given to a candidate with a master’s degree. This is a full-time, exempt position with a full range of benefits. The salary range is $50,000 to $55,000, depending on experience.
