The South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce was pleased to welcome new member Kitchen 527 with a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday, May 15th.
Now in its second season, Kitchen 527 leads the way with creative food, cool atmosphere, and contemporary seating options not found in most other South Haven area restaurants.
“It took a while for people to get used to the communal seating idea,” says Chef Allen Worman, “but now they love it.” Add to that a unique kitchen bar where you can watch your food being prepared, a traditional bar featuring a rotating selection of 8 Michigan craft beers on tap and cocktails to suit every taste, Kitchen 527 appeals to a wide range of appetites.
Kitchen 527 is owned by Jay and Julia Marcoux, who are no strangers to the restaurant business. The Marcouxs also own the popular Phoenix St. Café, Julia’s at the Pavilion and Brix Corner Oven. Kitchen 527’s menu includes seafood, a fresh salad bar, gourmet burgers and sandwiches, and a variety of creative dishes including cola turkey, blackened grouper and coffee rubbed flank steak.
