Congratulations to McDonald’s of South Haven on the completion of a full restaurant renovation!
Not only does the McDonald's on Broadway in South Haven boast the largest PlayPlace in the state of Michigan, but it's also leading the way in new technologies! The renovation which was completed earlier this spring includes updated decor and integrates computerized ordering kiosks inside, and designated parking spaces for app orders outside. You read that right- you can now place your McDonald's order on your phone, pay through the app, then simply drive in and pick up without ever leaving your car, allowing you to bypass the drive-thru line entirely!
It's all in the name of "fast" food. “We’re one of the first stores to take advantage of the new technology,” said owner Mike Knytych. “The app, kiosks and electronic menu boards at the drive-thru are ready to go to serve our customers during the upcoming summer season.”
The Knytych’s celebrated their renovation by presenting a $1,000 donation to L.C. Mohr High School. Principal Jerry Sardina commented, “Mike and Sue have been very supportive of L.C. Mohr for many years. We’re happy for the opportunity to help customers learn to use the new technology today. Many of our students show promise in the field and this is a great opportunity to showcase their talents. It’s also a good way to teach kids the value of community partnership.”
Members of the high school football team were on hand to teach customers to use the McDonald’s app and new ordering kiosks, and distribute samples of the new menu items.
