The South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce was pleased to welcome new member Ripple Effects Autism Learning Center with a ribbon cutting ceremony at their Grand Opening on Thursday, April 4th.
Owner Lauren Cavalli, who has a Masters Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, opened Ripple Effects Autism Learning Center in March with the goal of improving the lives and outcomes of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families.
When it comes to therapeutic intervention for individuals with autism, earlier is better. That’s why Ripple Effects focuses efforts on children from 18 months through 6 years old. Early intervention gives children the best opportunity to develop communication and social skills, improve learning and support healthy development that can carry through their entire life. Applied Behavior Analysis is evidence-based therapy that can help kids catch up to their peers in time for kindergarten. In fact, about 50% of students in an ABA program are able to transition to kindergarten without any additional specialized support.
Ripple Effects therapists also know that challenges can continue outside of the classroom, and help support parents by teaching them skills that they can implement at home and in the child’s daily life. Ripple Effects currently has 3 students enrolled, with space for 3 more.
