The South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce was pleased to congratulate Walmart on the launch of their new Online Grocery Pickup Program.
Online grocery ordering with free pickup will be available at the South Haven Walmart starting today! South Haven is the newest of 1,200 Walmart locations nationwide to adopt the program, with the company expecting to expand the service to an additional 1,000 stores over the next year.
Shopping online is simple- just select your items on the website or through the app and select your preferred pickup time. Your personal shopper will select the best produce and freshest items for you, and store them in a special staging area equipped with freezers and coolers to keep temperatures consistent. When you arrive, an associate will cheerfully load your order into your vehicle for you. There are absolutely no fees to use this service- no membership charges, no surcharges and associates do not accept tips. Online customers pay in-store prices, including sale prices and specials.
The expansion has already resulted in the addition of 11 new employees, with the possibility of adding more as the program becomes more popular. Plans to add a home delivery option are also in development, estimated to be available in the next year.
