The Michigan Maritime Museum strives to preserve, interpret, and invite the public to experience and learn about our Great Lakes Maritime heritage and culture.
Five separate buildings offer a variety of engaging opportunities for the museum visitor, including permanent and changing exhibits on Michigan maritime history, a center for teaching boat building, and maritime skills, and a regionally renowned research library. The museum has several on-water experiences and exhibits. The sloop ''Friends Goodwill'', a historic replica tall ship, is available for day sails as well as private charters. ''Lindy Lou'', a river replica river launch gives cruises upriver.
