The free 16th annual event coincides with National Fire Prevention Week and is intended for both kids and adults. Children need to be accompanied by an adult.
There will be live demonstrations and hands-on training, according to SHAES firefighter Paul Quinn who coordinates the department fire prevention education programs. There will also be prizes and complimentary refreshments.
Attendees are asked to park at the Moose Lodge across from the fire station on East Wells Street.
SHAES staff will also be bringing the fire prevention message to elementary-age children at South Haven schools over the next two weeks.
