The South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce Celebrates New Member

Caring Connection

South Haven, MI – November 22, 2024- The South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce was pleased to welcome new member Caring Connection with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Caring Connection’s Adult Day Services provide a safe and welcoming daytime environment for adults with memory loss and special needs. Participants engage in therapeutic and meaningful activities designed to enhance their daily living and overall well-being.

Caring Connection serves adults who may be socially isolated or lonely, developmentally disabled, or facing challenges due to physical or mental health conditions. This includes individuals managing memory loss or cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, stroke, or Parkinson’s disease. Their tailored programs ensure participants and their caregivers receive personalized support and care.

One of Caring Connection’s standout initiatives is its intergenerational program in partnership with the Youth Development Company (YDC). This unique collaboration brings together adults from the Adult Day Services and children involved in YDC programs, creating opportunities for mutual learning, connection, and shared experiences. These interactions foster understanding, reduce isolation, and enrich the lives of both generations.

In addition to benefiting participants, Caring Connection offers much-needed respite for caregivers. By providing a trusted space where loved ones can thrive, caregivers can address their own responsibilities and challenges with peace of mind.
