South Haven, MI – July 17, 2024 - The South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce was pleased to welcome new member Dune Lake Campground with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Located just a few miles outside of South Haven in Coloma, Michigan, Dune Lake Campground offers a range of amenities and activities for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The campground is privately owned, family-oriented, and pet-friendly, ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors.

"We took over Dune Lake at the end of 2021. Dune Lake Campground was established in 1970, and we are the third owners. One of the cool natural features about Dune Lake Campground is that it gets its name from the spring-fed 'dune lake' that naturally occurs," says Dune Lake Campground owner, Bethany Rene. "Our goal is to create an atmosphere of peace where guests leave better than when they came."

Bethany and her family have an inspiring journey to ownership. Transitioning from healthcare backgrounds in 2020, they sold their house, bought an RV, and lived in it for nine months. By chance, they arrived at Dune Lake just as it went up for sale. They spent the summer of 2021 learning from the previous owners. Despite initial skepticism from others, they took a leap of faith and now enjoy running the campground as a family.

Dune Lake Campground boasts four air-conditioned cabins as well as both primitive and modern campsites, catering to a variety of camping preferences. For added convenience, the campground now features a contactless check-in service.

Visitors to Dune Lake Campground can enjoy a wide range of activities, including a sandy beach along a small private lake, swimming, miniature golf, a playground, nature trails, volleyball, and half-court basketball. Additionally, campers can rent from Coloma Watervliet Kayak Rentals, making it easy for guests to rent a kayak and explore the beautiful surroundings.
