SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Assist lead teachers in the overall supervision and daily class functionality as well as supporting the children's emotional wellbeing while instructing infant/toddler or preschool children and aiding in the organization of the classroom based on developmentally appropriate practices.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must be 18 years old
High School Diploma or GED required.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Must pass criminal background check and fingerprinting, and TB Test.
Current in First Aid/CPR Certification (or within 3 months of employment)
Must be able to travel among our centers when needed
Must be willing to obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.
Must complete 26 hours of professional development annually

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Promote the values and mission of the YDC/PAL.
Adhere to YDC Pal, Great Start to Quality Indicators, state licensing, and COVID-19 policies and procedures in a proactive manner.
Build a positive relationship with each child in your care, and foster positive connections with all children. Actively engage with children at all times.
Assists with implementing curriculum, ongoing assessment, observation, and child outcomes systems consistent with program policies.
Responsible for classroom daily required cleaning and daily food preparation.
Supporting each child’s social, emotional and intellectual growth and development.
Ensuring the wellbeing and safety of children at all times.
Assisting students with difficult concepts.
Effectively communicating with parents and staff regarding the progress of children.
Following the assigned classroom bathroom, diapering and feeding schedules to ensure consistency for potty training goals.
Provide support to center classrooms daily or as assigned.
