REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM REWARDS BUSINESSES FOR TRAINING NEW HIRES

The On-the-Job Training (OJT) program provides companies with financial reimbursement for the cost of training and supervising employees who, upon hire, have outdated or incomplete skill sets. Reimbursement pays for 50 percent of an employee's wages up to $3,000 and/or six months of work.

The program is intended to give dislocated workers the updated skills they need to return to the workforce and to give employers the skilled employees they need to sustain and grow their businesses.

Which companies are eligible to participate?

    ·  Private

    ·  No gambling establishments, swimming pools, aquariums, zoos or golf courses

    ·  Piece rate positions aren't allowed

Which job seekers are eligible to participate?
