On Saturday, October 5th, the one-day 2019 Bailey Conference, held on Lake Michigan College’s South Haven campus located at 125 Veterans Blvd in South Haven Michigan, will feature local and national speakers, art, display tables, and a chance to speak with professionals all inspired by the work, philosophy, and life of Dr. Liberty Hyde Bailey.

Keynote speakers will include the nationally celebrated founder of the Archangel Ancient Tree Archive, David Milarch, who has set upon a life’s mission to propagate and reintroduce the offspring of the world’s most magnificent ancient trees.
Authors John Linstrom and John Stempien will introduce their new book Bailey Gardner’s Companion, which brings together in one book the best and most accessible garden writings of perhaps the most influential literary gardener of the twentieth century. Full of timeless wit and grace, the book collects essays and poems from Bailey's many books on gardening, as well as from newspapers and magazines from the era. This inspirational and informative event will start with registration at 8:00 am on October 5th. Participants can choose to attend many of the 12 different programs as well as shop from the works of and meet and greet presenters at their display tables throughout the day. Breakfast, snacks, and a light lunch are included.
