  • Program Purpose

    The South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce Give Back Program is designed to support and encourage the growth of new businesses in our community by providing access to Chamber resources, connections, and increased visibility. This program helps local entrepreneurs establish strong roots, build relationships with fellow businesses, and become active contributors to the South Haven area business community.

    Program Overview

    The Give Back Program awards one complimentary year of South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce membership to a new entrepreneur or business that meets the following criteria:

    • Has been in business for three years or less

    • Is not currently, and has never previously been, a Chamber member

    • Demonstrates a desire to grow and engage within the local business community

    Selected recipients will receive access to the full range of Chamber membership benefits, including networking opportunities, event participation, marketing exposure, and business support.

    Eligibility Requirements

    To qualify for the Give Back Program, applicants must:

    1. Own or operate a business located in the South Haven area or surrounding communities

    2. Have been in business for three years or less at the time of application

    3. Not be a current or past Chamber member

    4. Commit to participating in at least one Chamber event during the complimentary membership year through attendance (ticket purchase), sponsorship, or involvement

    Please note: Attendance at After Business Hours and Young Professionals events, as well as participation in Craft Fairs, the 8th Grade Field Trip, and the High School Job Fair, does not count toward the required annual event participation.

    Application Process

    Applications for the Give Back Program will open on Monday, March 2nd.

    Application Submission
    Applicants will complete a brief online or printed application that includes:

    • Business name, contact information, and date established

    • Description of products or services offered

    • Explanation of interest in Chamber involvement

    • How Chamber membership will benefit their business and the community

    Review Process
    Applications will be reviewed by the Give Back Committee. Selections will be based on demonstrated passion, community involvement, and potential for growth.

    Selection Timeline
    One recipient will be selected each year.

    Program Benefits

    Give Back Program recipients will receive:

    • One complimentary year of Chamber membership

    • A featured spotlight on the Chamber website, social media platforms, and newsletter

    • Recognition at the Annual Dinner (including two complimentary dinner tickets)

    • A ribbon cutting ceremony or press release announcing their membership

    Program Goals

    • Encourage business growth and long-term sustainability in the South Haven area

    • Foster connections between new and established businesses

    • Strengthen Chamber membership through ongoing engagement

    • Highlight the Chamber’s commitment to supporting local entrepreneurship
