ABC Boating Class
America's Boating Course is a great place to begin your boating education. This course is recommended for all boaters regardless of skill level. It's great for the new boater, for someone trying to decide what type of boat to get, and as review for the seasoned boater.
Many insurance companies will offer discounts on boating insurance to boaters who successfully complete ABC. Furthermore, Michigan law requires boating education for anyone born after 1996 to operate motor boats greater than 6 horsepower.
There are 3 ABC sessions scheduled for this spring. Cost is $35 and pre-registration is required. Sessions run 2 hours each for 5 weeks, for a total of 10 hours of instruction.ABC Boating ClassDate and Time

Session II: Portage Central High School, 8107 Mustang Dr. (Westnedge/Centre). 7-9pm Mondays, Feb 15, 22, (no class Feb 29), resume March 7, 14, 21.
Session III: South Haven Yacht Club, 401 Williams St. 6:30-8:30pm Thursdays, Mar 31-Apr 28Fees/Admission
$35 per student, family discounts are available.
