Bundle up the kids, pull on your boots and head out to the Michigan Flywheelers Museum as it kicks off the holiday season the old fashioned way with "Christmas at the Flywheelers". The event will be held from 6-8:30pm on Friday, December 8 and December 15.
Lighted outdoor displays throughout the property will greet visitors as they take a ride on a tractor-pulled "Holly Trolly" through Old Towne. There will be several stops along the way where guests can get off and watch the blacksmith at Over The Hill Forge pound iron, go inside the holiday decorated Farm History Building for a game of checkers, or visit the log cabin decorated pioneer style.
In the restored Stephenson Barn, holiday music, refreshments and craft workshops for kids will be going on. Rumor has it that Santa will be riding his tractor to the museum and will stay and visit with kids. Holiday shoppers can visit the Wooden Nickel for unique gifts, tractor-themed items, museum souvenirs and old fashioned toys.
Visitors are encouraged to dress warmly, as this is an outdoor event.
