Announcing the 2026 South Haven Steelheaders Annual Blueberry Festival Fish Boil. We will be located in the Huron Street Pavillion in downtown South Haven on Saturday, August 8 serving from 4 to 6:30pm or until the food runs out. This event is run by the South Haven Chapter of the Michigan Steelheaders and takes around 40 volunteers. The onion peelers and potato inspectors start early in the morning preparing and cleaning them making sure their quality is up to our standards. The food preparation area is fully inspected by the Van Buren County Health Dept. to assure food safety and quality.
The meal consists of boiled Salmon and Lake Trout from the waters of Lake Michigan. Side dishes include boiled red potatoes and onions, cole slaw, a roll and melted butter, as much or as little as you like. Many people describe the flavor almost like lobster. Orange drink is included with your meal. Water is available for purchase. The Huron Street Pavillion is located inside the South Haven Downtown Social District.
Price is $15 for adults and kids over 12, Kids 3 - 12 are $5. This is an annual tradition that has been going on for almost 50 years in South Haven.
