Learn how to identify insects, fungi, and diseases that can threaten our trees.
Presented by SW X SW Corner CISMA
Michigan's trees and forests are one of the state's greatest and best-known assets. From the towering white pines. which built the timber boom, to the sugar maples that shade our favorite hiking trails. Trees and forests are a familiar sight in our landscape. But many species of trees are threatened by pests and diseases, which can lead to decline and die back. Learn how to identify these threats to our trees, and how to report them once they are found. This FREE program at the South Haven Memorial Library will cover the key identifying characteristics of the threats that Michigan trees face now and give landowners the tools to monitor and map them.
