South Haven Performance Series presents Picosa Chamber Music Ensemble's Music of the Baroque European Tour on Friday, June 30, beginning at 7:30pm at First United Methodist Church.
We all know that Italian, German, English, and French cars are very different, but what about each country’s music? The Picosa Chamber Music Ensemble will take its audience on a tour of different European styles of chamber music in the Baroque era. The concert will feature Baroque music specialists Patti Garvey on cello, Jennie Oh Brown on flute, and Jason Moy on harpsichord. Garvey is the newest member of the Grand Rapids Symphony; Jennie Oh Brown teaches at Elmhurst College; and Jason Moy is a member of the faculty at DePaul University in Chicago. You will come away understanding the difference between an Italian Corrente and a French Courante and will be delighted by their selection of beautiful Baroque masterpieces!
Now in its eighth season, the South Haven Performance Series has been an incredible success thanks to those who love the arts and continue to contribute with their gifts to provide our community with quality performances at a modest cost.
