Lifeguard for AM Lap Swim
5:15 am -7:00 am: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Job Summary
A lap swimming lifeguard's primary duty is to ensure the safety of swimmers
during lap swim activities, including observing swimmers, enforcing rules, and
responding to emergencies. They also assist with pool maintenance and may
help with other administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
● Supervising swimmers: Maintaining constant watch over swimmers to identify
potential hazards and ensure their safety.
● Enforcing rules: Adhering to facility rules and policies, including those related to
lap swimming lanes, safety, and conduct.
● Responding to emergencies: Performing water rescues, administering first aid,
and providing CPR when necessary.
● Maintaining a safe environment: Ensuring the pool area is clean and free of
debris, and addressing any potential hazards.
● Communicating with swimmers: Providing instructions, warnings, and safety
information to swimmers.
Skills and Qualifications:
● Lifeguard certification, including CPR and first aid training.
● Strong swimming skills and ability to perform rescues.
● Knowledge of pool rules and regulations.
● Ability to assess and respond to emergencies effectively.
● Good communication and interpersonal skills.
● Attention to detail and ability to observe surroundings.
