Seasonal Lifeguard

Description: Under supervision, lifeguard coverage of assigned open water and beach areas to provide first-line protection of the lives and property of beach patrons. This position is responsible for monitoring swimmers, responding to emergencies, performing rescues, administering first aid, and promoting public safety and education.

Qualifications: High school diploma required prior to guarding the beach. High school seniors may participate in training prior to graduation. Must successfully complete the department’s swimming and competency tests.
