    Role Description
    This is a contract hybrid role for a Head Cook, predominantly based at our South Haven, MI location with some flexibility for remote work. The Head Cook will manage and coordinate all culinary operations, including menu creation, food preparation, and presentation, ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Responsibilities include sourcing high-quality ingredients, managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness and compliance with health regulations, and training and supervising kitchen staff. The Head Cook will also collaborate with the management team to align menus with the resort’s unique aesthetic and vision.
    Qualifications

    • Proficiency in menu creation, food preparation, and culinary presentation
    • Experience in kitchen management, including staff supervision, inventory control, and procurement
    • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation regulations, and best practices in maintaining a clean kitchen environment
    • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining high-quality standards
    • Creative culinary skills and a passion for providing exquisite guest experiences
    • Previous experience in high-end hospitality or luxury dining is a plus
    • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on the needs of the resort
