    Established in 1963, the National Blueberry Festival is held the first Thursday through Sunday in August each year, in celebration of all things Blueberry! The non-profit annual festival includes a parade, youth pageant, free outdoor concerts at Riverfront Park, blueberry pie eating contest, arts & crafts show, sand sculpture contest, airport fly-in, pancake breakfasts, fish boil, and MANY more activities! Very popular and fun, family friendly festival- book your lodging accommodations early, as many places fill up well in advance of festival!
