The South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome two new members to its Board of Directors, Glenn Cowles and Kate Hosier, who will join the Chamber Board in January and will each serve a 3-year term.
“These two individuals offer unique perspectives and experience in their respective industries that will help to develop and serve the community of South Haven,” says South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Kathy Wagaman.
Glenn Cowles owns The UPS Store in South Haven. He graduated from South Haven High School in 1995 and earned his BA in Economic Management in 1999. Glenn opened The UPS Store in 2004, and received the South Haven Family Business of the Year Award in 2007. Glenn is active in Kiwanis, Key Club, United Way, Bangor’s Summerball program, Chamber Ambassador Club, and TUPSS Grand Rapids co-op. Glenn brings his perspective as a retailer to the Chamber board.
Kate Hosier is the President of Our Town Players, South Haven’s non-profit theater organization. She graduated from South Haven High School, and went on to earn degrees from Western Michigan University and Cooley Law School. She was a trial attorney in Lansing for a few years before relocating back to the South Haven area in 2013. Kate currently serves as the Assistant City Manager for the City of South Haven, and will be representing interests of arts and culture on the Chamber board.
