The South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce Welcomes
New Member Café’ Julia
The South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce was pleased to welcome new member Café’ Julia recently. While this cozy café’ has been a familiar sight in downtown South Haven for many years, there was a transition of ownership in October.
We want to introduce you to Trisha Haak, who recently took ownership on October 8th, and who’s impressive background is very well-suited for this business. Trisha has been in the hospitality industry for over 15 years, including waitress, bartender, off-site catering, and later attending Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago to become a pastry chef. Following that accomplishment, Trisha managed and coordinated events for the boats along the Navy Pier in Chicago. Trisha and her husband Tim have 3 young children, and are happy be a part of the South Haven area community. Tim is a Great Lakes Pilot, moving the impressive freighters throughout the Great Lakes.
The Cafe’ Julia menu includes direct trade, fresh and locally roasted premium coffees created by trained baristas, and delectable pastries, cakes, and cookies. The sandwich selections include vegetarian choices and wraps and sandwiches made with flavorful meets, cheeses, and greens, and pair well with the soup du jour and tasty sides. Order online for take-out or to enjoy the cozy atmosphere inside.
Stop by Café’ Julia at 561 Huron Street and meet Trisha Haak and her staff. Convenient hours each day are 7am – 3pm. To learn more, go to www.cafejulia.com.
