Guest Service Associate

Guest Service Associate:
The Michigan Maritime Museum is looking for enthusiastic, friendly, and go-getting individuals for our Guest Service Associate position. The Guest Service Associate is part of a team and works closely with Museum administrative staff to ensure smooth operations at the Welcome Desk and Ship’s Store.
Responsibilities include:
● Processing museum admissions
● Processing and up-selling guests to On-Water Experiences.
● Completing sales in the Ship’s Store and suggesting merchandise to guests.
● Checking in passengers for On-Water Experiences.
● Answering phones and directing calls.
● Relaying museum information to visitors.
This position is dependent on quality guest service. Good communication skills, efficiency, multitasking ability, as well as an aptitude for working well with people is essential.
This position requires a willingness to work weekends, weekdays, and occasional evenings and holidays. Experience in the fields of hospitality, sales, retail, or related fields preferred.
